KJO takes Sushant, Jacqueline and Vikramjeet Virk and Sapna Pabbi on a romantic drive
Karan Johar is going to deliver the first installment of a new series of action movies on Holi. Drive is scheduled to vroom on March 2 on the auspicious occasion of Holi. It is a long weekend as Holi is on Friday.
It is the first installment and Karan Johar and the entire Drive team that includes Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez is excited about the movie. It is an action comedy but it isn’t based on the 2011 Hollywood picture of the same name.
KJO took the Bollywood by surprise when he announced his next venture on Twitter early this year. Drive will be the first in the series of action comedy movies and Jacqueline Fernandez is playing role of a street racer in the picture. Sushant Singh Rajput is taken as male lead in the movie.
Story So Far
A stunt driver falls into love with a beautiful married neighbor. But he finds that his married life of his love is in trouble. Her husband has borrowed some money from a dreaded local gangster and the latter is threatening her husband of dire consequences, if the money isn’t returned.
Drive’s Israel connection
It is reported that Drive is the first Bollywood film to be shot in Israel. Shooting was done in the beautiful landscape and breathtaking surroundings of Tel Aviv. Also, an important member of the production team revealed a secret during an interview. It was said that Drive was first going to release in Israel but the plan was changed due to marketing reasons.
Israel is a small country and in Israel pictures are released on television. The Drive team tried finding a way to release the movie in Israel but later shifted the release to India.
Sushant and Jacqueline
It is the first movie of Sushant after MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. And he is feeling lucky to be chosen by none other than the KJO. Jacqueline Fernandez is also excited about the movie as it is first time she’s romancing with Sushant on silver screen. KJO shared a picture of the lead actors on Twitter and expressed his excitement about the new project.
Drive First Look & Poster
The Vroom feel is visible on the poster. Everything from the movie name to names of actors, producer and director seem to be rushing ahead. It is a car race with three cars accelerating on a checkered road. The background is dark blue as it happens during nighttime. Also, the lampposts shedding light on the road are seen in the poster. It is an immaculately designed poster for this fast movie.
Why watch the movie?
KJO fans need no reason to see the movie. Similarly, those who liked Dostana would want to watch Drive as it is directed by Dostana fame director Tarun Mansukhani. Sushant Singh Rajput also has a large following and his followers will also watch the movie. But the biggest advantage to Drive is its Holi connection. It will add more colors to the Holi entertainment.
