Geniusis an action-packed crime thriller from the makers of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. The producer-director Anil Sharma is back with the story of another patriot after 11 years of making the thrilling love story Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Also, this movie is a debut film of Utkarsh Sharma son of Anil Sharma.
Story
Vasudev Shastri a.k.a. Genius (Utkarsh Sharma) is an engineering graduate looking for a job opportunity. A patriot by heart and engineer by the mind, he ends up joining Special Forces where he gets an opportunity to serve the nation. And he plays a crucial role in fighting with a dreaded villain Gangster Shah played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
A confluence of present and past talent
Having worked with actors including Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Sridevi, Akshay Kumar and Sunny Deol, Anil Sharma knows how to match actors with characters. It is a debut movie of his son Utkarsh Sharma hence he won’t want to take any chance. And his preparedness to launch his son in Bollywood is visible from the selection of stars.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui: Tall, slim and handsome Nawazuddin Siddiqui matches perfectly with the Gangster Shah who fights with the mind. Also, having a strong villain will boost the heroic image of Utkarsh Sharma.
Ishitha Chauhan: A model turned actress, Ishitha Chauhan has worked in a couple of movies as a child actress but Nandini Chauhan is her first role in the Bollywood. She’s the love interest of Utkarsh Sharma in the movie.
Ayesha Jhulka: The lead protagonist of the hit movie of 1992 Jo Jeeta WohiSikandar will be seen in a new avatar in Genius.
Mithun Chakraborty: The seasoned action star is essaying the role of Devraj Mathur in the movie. His presence will certainly highlight the heroic deeds of Utkarsh Sharma.
