Shah Rukh Khan aka “Badshah of Bollywood”, “King of Bollywood” and “King Khan” celebrates his 53rd birthday today. Born on 2 November 1965, SRK spent his early years in New Delhi before arriving in Mumbai for making a striking career in Bollywood.

Fans and well-wishers started gathering outside his residenceMannat since midnight and SRK greeted all those guests waiting to see a glimpse of their favorite star with folded hands. He appeared at the gate of Mannat and received blessings and best wishes of his followers amid tight security. A large crowd was waiting outside the residence of SRK to say “Happy Birthday” to the superstar and they knew that they won’t be disappointed.

SRK in 53 years
Born and brought up in Delhi, SRK lived with his maternal grandfather in Mangalore until 5 years. His father was a Pathan; his mother belonged to Hyderabad but his grandmom was a Kashmiri. SRK married a Punjabi girl and owned a Bengali cricket team. But he says that he’s a true Indian from the heart.
SRK was named Abdul Rehman by his maternal grandmother but his family members changed the name to Shah Rukh Khan. He studied Eco (H) in Hansraj College, Delhi University and later went to National School of Drama for acting.
After losing his father to cancer in 1981 and mother to diabetes in 1991, Shah Rukh Khan had no one to help in the film industry but he made his way with hard work and became a self-made superhero in a short span of 30 years. He has 14 Filmfare awards to his names.
Awards & Honors
The Government of France also awarded him both the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (2007) and its highest civilian honor, the Légiond’honneur (2014). But the biggest of all awards is the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2005.
Future projects
SRK is releasing the trailer of forthcoming movie Zero on his birthday. The movie is going to be different in many ways and the superstar has high hopes from this flick. He’s playing the role of a dwarf man in the movie.
