Released on 20 November, 2018, 2.0 made to the 100-million-dollar mark worldwide and now the movie is going to hit the 56000 screens in China in May 2019. Produced at a whooping budget of INR 543 crore, the movie earned more than INR 700 crore.
Released on 10 January, 2019, Petta also entered the coveted 100-million-dollar club within 11 days of its release. It’s surprising but true. Petta accumulated a wealth of INR 14.04 crore in only 18 days only in Chennai but the overall box office collection is more than INR 250 crore.
Petta is made in Tamil but dubbed in Telugu and Hindi and it is released worldwide including the US, Canada, Singapore and Malaysia where Rajinikanth enjoys a huge following. Petta garnered close to $10 million from overseas market due to the popularity of Thalaiva.
At home, the Superstar has a huge fan following – 5 million followers on Twitter. Also, the Forbes included Rajinikanth in its Forbes India Celebrity 100 list for 2018. He is ranked 14th in the list. His earnings are estimated to be $7 million.
From Kabali to Petta, Rajinikanth has been consistently churning money in box office. His movies received a thumping response in home country and abroad.
