Wedding of Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja at the Rockdale and reception of guests at The Leela
Wedding season seems to end with the starry wedding-reception of Sonam Kapoor with her longtime boyfriend Anand Ahuja on May 8, 2018. It was a three-day ceremony starting with Mehendi Ritual on 6th May and concluding on a fabulous reception of wedding guests that include the big names of Bollywood on 8th May.

May 1: Wedding Announcement
The Kapoors with Ahujas announced wedding of Sonam Kapoor with aAnand Ahuja.Sonam and Ananad were dating each-other since a long time and everyone was waiting for the Kapoors and Ahujas to allow Sonam and Anand to tie the knot. The wedding day was fixed at 8th May and the heritage bungalow of Sonam’s aunt Kavita Singh was made the venue. Situated in Bandra, the Rockdale bungalow is just perfect for the grand Bollywood wedding.
May 6: Pre-MehendiCeremony
The renowned mehendi designer VeenaNagda was hired for the ceremonial ritual of adoring hands of to-be bride that was very special to both the Kapoors and the Ahujas. The ceremonial artist designed mehendi art on the beautiful palms and wrists of Sonam in the presence of her cousins Rhea Kapoor, Janhvi, Khushi, Anshula and Shanaya.
AnandAjuja also attended the mehendi ceremony and he even danced with Sonam.
May 7: Mehendi Ceremony
It was a fabulous function hosted in Sunteck Signature Island, Bandra. What made the ceremony more special was the dress code. Both the hosts and guests showed up in white attire. They were there to shower all their love and blessings on the wedding-couple.
Clad in an Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla outfit, Sonam looked gorgeous and Ananad in a very-lightly decorated off-white bandhgala suit looked a perfect match for the lovely bride.
May 8: The Wedding Day
The rituals of Ananad Karaj were performed to tie Sonam and Ananad in the knot. The ceremony was witnessed by Kapoors, Bachchans, Amir Khan and other big names of Bollywood.
May 8: The Gala Feast
The party was at The Leela Mumbai and the dress code was Indian or western formals. And the guests were all the family members, friends, relatives and acquaintances. The guests danced on Bollywood songs. Anil Kapoor gave a fascinating performance on his hit song “My Name is Lakhan” in the party. Karan Johar also underlined his presence by dancing on Sonam’s song “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo”.
